More Maintenance For A.J.?

Star WR Once Again Not Seen At Practice

by

PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles returned to Lincoln Financial Field for their Wednesday practice ahead of Sunday’s divisional round matchup with the visiting Los Angeles Rams.

Wednesday’s practice, open briefly to the media in attendance, revealed no sign of wide receiver A.J. Brown, though not surprising and likely part of the plan, as the team manages the receiver’s lingering knee injury.

GETTY IMAGES: Eagles WR A.J. Brown has been withheld from some practices lately as he nurses a knee injury.

Like with last week, the team’s objective is to minimize wear and tear and get Brown for Sunday.

His counterpart, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, who sat out Friday’s practice with back tightness, was a practice participant.

Also, running back Saquon Barkley, center Cam Jurgens and left tackle Jordan Mailata were non-participants and will probably be given the mid-week “rest” designation.

The official practice report will be released later today.
