Eagles Week 6 Injury Report
Injury Updates as the Eagles Prepare for the Panthers in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Eagles (2-3) head home to face the Carolina Panthers (2-2).
Kickoff for Sunday is slated for 1 pm. The Eagles are decimated by injuries, and four different suffered injuries against the Jaguars in London.
Running back Will Shipley reportedly partially tore his plantar fascia against the Jaguars, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The foot injury is expected to keep him out for multiple weeks. Jalyx Hunt, Tyler Steen and Michael Carter II were also injured during the game.

EDFGE Jalyx Hunt sustained injuries to his leg and ankle against the Jaguars.
Here’s a look at their injury situation for their Week 6 matchup against the Panthers:
Wednesday, Oct. 14

The Eagles’ Wednesday practice report was quite extensive, with 24 players listed. Running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) wasn’t present during the portion of practice open to the media and began the week sidelined. WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) also didn’t practice, though the sixth-year pro was spotted on a side field working on the JUGS machine during team stretch. Smith was jogging on a side field last Thursday, so it appears as though he’s trending in a positive direction. Hamstring injuries, however, can be fickle. Curious to see if on Thursday he can practice in some capacity.
In other positional news, Hollywood Brown (ankle) returned to practice after missing three games. His field stretching speed and open field quickness could potentially add another dimension to the Eagles offense.
After missing an entire week of practice with a knee injury, Drew Kendall was once again sidelined on Wednesday. It’s early in the week, to be sure, but not an encouraging start to the week for the second-year lineman. It’s worth noting that Kendall was playing well before the injury, but the Eagles were forced to toggle the interior against the Jaguars in London, with Willie Lampkin filling in at left guard and Jake Majors tasked with stepping in for Kendall.
Of the other non-participants, multiple reports indicated that RB Will Shipley (foot) suffered a partial tear to his plantar fascia in the Eagles’ 19-17 loss in London. He’ll miss some time. DB Michael Carter II (abdomen) exited early in the contest – logging 25 defensive snaps — and was replaced by veteran Kenny Moore. The Eagles are light at the position, though the positive here is that Marcus Epps (groin) returned to practice after missing the previous two games. Carter’s injury will be worth monitoring as the week progresses.
Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Tuesday that it would be “pretty miraculous” for Hunt to be available this week, but the encouraging news is that the third-year pass rusher wasn’t placed on injured reserve. Even with Jonathan Greenard (ankle) returning to practice, the Eagles are fairly light at the position. Greenard, remember, has played just 37 snaps. One would assume the team would want another pass rusher active in the event he’s on a pitch count or reaggravates the injury in-game.
The Eagles on Wednesday also opened the 21-day practice windows for G Landon Dickerson, CB Jakorian Bennett and TEs Eli Stowers and Grant Calcaterra. All four were listed as limited participants to start the week.
