Slowly But Surely
Johnson, Smith Back Practicing
Thursday’s injury report for the Philadelphia Eagles offers a more positive outlook to Sunday’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins.
Safety Reed Blankenship (ribs) and cornerback Bradley Roby (shoulder) were the only players listed as not participating in Thursday’s practice.
Lane Johnson (ankle) and DeVonta Smith (hamstring) both returned to practice in a limited fashion after missing Wednesday. Dallas Goedert (groin) and Jalen Carter (knee) both remain limited.
While Johnson playing on Sunday is far from guaranteed at this point, his progress is in-line with Head Coach Nick Sirianni’s previous comments that he will attempt to play.
Darius Slay (knee), who missed Week 6, is back practicing fully, as is Sydney Brown (hamstring), and Eli Ricks (knee). With them back plus the addition of Josiah Scott, the banged-up secondary is beginning to slowly recover.
