Changing of the Guard?

Jurgens and Other Starters Remain Out of Practice

by

Several starters remain on the Philadelphia Eagles’ injury report ahead of their Week 15 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

Linebacker Zach Cunningham (knee), right guard Cam Jurgens (pectoral), and cornerback Darius Slay (knee) remained out of Friday’s practice after missing the previous day.

Eagles starting right guard Cam Jurgens has missed the last two days of practice with a pectoral injury

All three have missed previous weeks with Slay missing Week 5’s loss against the Jets, Cunningham returning from a hamstring injury in Week 14 and Jurgens coming back from injured reserve following the bye. If none of the three can go, Sua Opeta, Shaquille Leonard, and Kelee Ringo could be in line for more snaps.

In more positive news, Reed Blankenship (concussion) has advanced to participating fully in practice, meaning the Eagles will not likely be as shorthanded at safety. The room was down to just two healthy players at the position, Kevin Byard and Sydney Brown, when Blankenship exited Sunday night’s game against Dallas.
