ITB: Is Bryce Huff Ready for a Return?

by

The 12-2 Philadelphia Eagles are set to face off against their NFC East rivals, the 9-5 Washington Commanders, with both teams looking for a boost from their current injury situation.

On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher provided updates ahead of the Week 16 matchup.

Saquon Barkley

Adam Caplan: “I was very worried about Barkley because he was the one who missed 31 snaps. He took all of his reps on Thursday. We know it was a leg or knee that bothered him, but apparently he’s fine.”

Landon Dickerson

Geoff Mosher: “We saw him leave the game, come back, and only stand on the sideline. He was listed as limited under two designations of both rest and knee. That doesn’t really help us clarify his status.”

Caplan: “I’m very optimistic in that to start the week, it was up in the air from what we understood and then he got some work in on Thursday, that’s a positive. I would feel really good that he has a realistic chance to play.”

Bryce Huff

Mosher: “Even if Bryce Huff is ready and active, it’s been a while since he has been on the field. You may want to have five deep at the edge rusher position because of conditioning and because Washington is going to try to move them at a pretty fast pace.”

Caplan: “It has only been five weeks, if he gets cleared this week, they should be able to work him into the rotation.”

Zach Ertz

Mosher: “He had a concussion and was listed as limited on Thursday’s practice, which means he was out there doing what you are supposed to do when you are in the protocol. Maybe Zach will be able to defy the odds and get on the field a week after he suffered a concussion.”

Caplan: “Zach has been such a leader, they love having him.”

Jonathan Allen

Caplan: “Everyone said he would be out for the season, but he’s not because it was a partial not a full pectoral tear. He just started working, they’re not ruling him out. He has to figure out how he’s going to be able to wrap and great strength, but he has a chance to play this week.”
