‘Tremendous Morale Boost’

ITB: What a BG Return Would Mean

Major developments are taking place for the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of Super Bowl LIX.

On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher and Andrew DiCecco discussed the recent news surrounding the team.

Brandon Graham

Brandon Graham

Geoff Mosher: “When you think about how November 24 was just two months ago doesn’t seem that far away and that he’s in the practice window trying to make it back, I get that these guys are world class athletes and they recover differently, but I’m going on what I have seen other athletes have to do to come back from torn triceps, this would be unheard of from what I recall of torn triceps comebacks if he’s able to play in the Super Bowl.”

Andrew DiCecco: “Players if they sustain it in September, they’re usually gone for the season, but leave it up to Brandon Graham to gut it out, I know that he has been putting in a lot of work to make sure he’s ready for this moment. He’s always optimistic…Obviously, pushing off and trying to deal with block destruction are going to be challenging from his position, but one thing about Brandon Graham is he uses leverage very well. He’s good at moving and dipping under and using the savviness to find ways to be effective. He’s also a highly effective run defender and if he can the Eagles five or more snaps, that’s already more than what they’re getting from Bryce Huff. It would be a tremendous morale boost to a team that’s already at an all-time high right now.”

Kellen Moore

Mosher: “Sources have talked to us about this. They would expect that if Kellen Moore does take that head coaching job with the Saints, he would probably take [Eagles QB Coach] Doug Nussmeier with him.”

DiCecco: “The Eagles are the victims of their own success…Anytime you’re pulling the strings of a team that’s in the Super Bowl, you’re going to have a lot of eyes on you, you’re going to have a spotlight. As long as the Eagles are still successful, they are going to keep running into these issues.”

Landon Dickerson/Cam Jurgens

Mosher: “They’re going to play, barring some terrible setback. But you watch the way Jurgens could barely move as he was walking off the field.”

DiCecco: “Those are the two players you don’t want injured at the same time. With a back injury, the best thing you can possibly do is rest, same thing with the knee.”
