by

Two teams on a two-game winning streak against the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants will face off on Sunday, as the 3-4 Cincinnati Bengals host the 4-2 Philadelphia Eagles.

On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher provided injury updates and discussed the matchups to watch for Week 8.

Zack Baun

Geoff Mosher: “There were a couple of guys you were holding your breath on, for example Zack Baun when he wasn’t able to practice on Wednesday. But he comes back on Thursday and is able to do some work.”

Adam Caplan: “He took all of the reps. You have to see what happens leading up to Friday’s practice. Barring the unforeseen setback, he’s going to start.”

Orlando Brown Jr.

Caplan: “They weren’t sure when he would be able to work, they thought some point this week but they didn’t know he would start work on Wednesday. On Thursday, they took more reps. They have to see how he feels, but he’s trending well. If he doesn’t play, they are going to go with Cody Ford [at left tackle].”

Trey Hendrickson

Caplan: “Trey Hendrickson, the Bengals’ right defensive end versus Fred (Johnson)…that’s huge, Hendrickson is a man. That to me is a key matchup for this game.”

Joe Burrow

Caplan: “He does take sacks. Yes, he has a quick delivery, but he wants to make the play. He is so aggressive, he’ll take contact. Can this pass rush, which has had 13 sacks in the last two weeks and a ton of pressures, bring the heat?”

Mosher: “Burrow has faced some pretty good defenses. He has taken sacks, but he never lets it get overboard.”
