Eagles Week 1 Injury Report

The Eagles on Wednesday held their practice and issued their first practice report of the season.

Here is the injury report, which includes practice status, and we’ll update it during the week.

The big news on Wednesday was the return of Greenard, who suited up for the first time since joining the Eagles. Greenard, 29, was placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list at the start of training camp after sustaining a pec strain lifting weights in the Eagles’ weight room.

Notably, when the Eagles’ revealed their 53-man roster, Greenard was on it, an indication he was trending in a positive direction. Wednesday’s practice supports that. Still, though, it’s important to keep in mind that Greenard has been sidelined for six weeks. Given the nature of his injury, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if it took a bit more time to build back his strength and stamina. We’ll learn more as the week progresses.

“We’ll see,” said Nick Sirianni, regarding Greenard’s availability for Week 1. “I think that all our guys that have had some dings throughout training camp, they’ve worked their butts off to — That’s what I always admire about this group, led by our captains and our leaders, is that this team works hard. When you work hard, it’s not just on the practice field; it’s also in the film room. It’s also if you’re having to rehab an injury, and he’s worked his butt off. We’ll see where that is by the end of the week, and we’ll get you an injury report for today and who’s practicing and everything like that. We’ll see how that goes.”

Stowers, you might recall, had been sidelined with a hamstring injury since Aug. 24. The injury kept the Eagles’ 2026 second-round pick out of the preseason finale. His return, even in a limited capacity, was an encouraging development.
