Torn Again

Report: Graham Re-Tore Triceps In Super Bowl

by

Eagles legendary pass rusher Brandon Graham, a vital part of the franchise’s two Super Bowl titles, reportedly re-tore the same triceps muscle that he tore in November while playing in the Super Bowl.

In an interview on 97.5 The Fanatic, longtime Eagles reporter Derrick Gunn said Graham, 36, suffered the same injury in the team’s 40-22 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX that cut short the edge rusher’s 2024 season.

Gunn is also host of “Gunn On One” on Inside The Birds.

Graham, who said before the season that he would probably retire after the year, tore his triceps in a Week 11 win against the Rams in Los Angeles. The surgery shelved him for the rest of the regular season and for the team’s first three playoff games.

It was viewed as an amazing – and risky – comeback when the Eagles opened the 21-day practice window for Graham leading up to the Super Bowl. Graham then played 13 snaps – 22 percent of the total defense – in the win and became one of just four players who have played in both of the team’s two Super Bowl wins.

Graham hasn’t yet officially announced his retirement but his readiness to play in 2025 would surely be in question after suffering another torn triceps.

Graham was drafted by the Eagles in the first round, 13th overall, of the 2010 draft and has never played for another team.

The former Michigan standout has played the most games in franchise history (206) and is third all-time in sacks, with 76.5, trailing only Reggie White and Trent Cole.
