Graham’s Back
Birds Activate Veteran EDGE To 53
NEW ORLEANS – While it felt as though it had been trending in this direction throughout the week, the Eagles made it official Saturday afternoon, activating veteran defensive end Brandon Graham from injured reserve and adding him onto the 53-man roster ahead of Super Bowl LIX.
Graham, whose strip-sack of Tom Brady in the team’s Super Bowl LII win is one of the franchise’s most iconic moments, will have an opportunity to add to his legacy in what will likely be the final game of his storied career.
The move is sure to boost the morale of a team with team chemistry already at an all-time high.
Graham returns from a torn left triceps injury he sustained back in Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 24, but had consistently been around the team following his surgery, providing leadership and energy.

While Graham will surely be on a limited snap count, his ability to defend the run and add to the pass rush and overall leadership shouldn’t be discounted.
In a corresponding move, the Eagles placed OL Nick Gates (groin) on injured reserve. Gates, 29, appeared in nine games for the Eagles this season, making one start.
The Eagles used their two elevations on FB Khari Blasingame and LB Nicholas Morrow ahead of Sunday’s game.
Blasingame has been elevated for every postseason game, while Morrow has been elevated for the divisional round, conference championship and now Super Bowl LIX.
The roster is in place and the stage is now set for what is primed to be a memorable rematch.
