Smith Still Sidelined
Birds WR Dealing With Cranky Hammy
PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles, in their second of three practices this week before departing for New Orleans, practiced indoors Friday, dodging the afternoon rain that showered South Philadelphia.
No practice for wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring), who also missed Thursday’s session. During team stretches, Smith was off to the side, reeling in over-the-shoulder throws.

GETTY IMAGES: WR DeVonta Smith (hamstring) remains out of practice the week before Super Bowl LIX.
Also sidelined was linebacker Zack Baun, though considering he wasn’t on Thursday’s report, it’s safe to assume he’ll be tagged with the “rest” designation.
No sign of OL Cam Jurgens (back) and Landon Dickerson (knee), running back Kenny Gainwell (concussion/knee), TE Dallas Goedert (rest/ankle), WR A.J. Brown (rest) and RB Saquon Barkley (rest) and defensive tackle Milton Williams (unknown).
Those who participated Friday despite being on Thursday’s report were second-year pass-rusher Nolan Smith (illness) and defensive tackle Moro Ojomo (shoulder).
Defensive end Brandon Graham (triceps), listed as limited, was again a participant. So was WR/PR Britain Covey. We’ll find out their official status once the report is released.
Fun observation: Former Eagles tight end Brent Celek was working with safeties C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Reed Blankenship, running routes on air while safeties coach Joe Kasper intently observed.
