Spring Season
ITB: OTAs Offer Benefits for These Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles’ OTA sessions will provide an initial opportunity for several players to adjust to a new role.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan named players who benefit from the spring practice sessions.

Jalyx Hunt
Geoff Mosher: “For a second-year player like Jalyx Hunt who has already had a full season under his belt, already has some experience. When you’re comfortable, you can just take that next big step because you already have that foundation built a little bit. I think second-year players probably benefit as much if not more than rookies.”
Jalen Hurts
Adam Caplan: “You have a new playcaller, Jalen Hurts’ fifth as an NFL quarterback. At least he has worked with Kevin Patullo all five years, but this is a lot. There will be some differences because he’s going to put his spin on it.”
Will Shipley
Caplan: “This is a big offseason for him. Kenny Gainwell is gone; they don’t have that pass protector. Let’s see where he is just from a pass pro position.”
Mosher: “It’s hard as a rookie to get bigger and stronger because your first priority is learning your role…To excel in pass pro, you need better technique and he is a guy who I felt needed a little more bulk.”
Sydney Brown
Mosher: “Big OTA for Sydney Brown to start to really prove to Vic Fangio that he’s dependable, reliable, can get into this defense, can play within himself, not be a little bit reckless, especially with Drew Mukuba probably ahead of him on the depth chart.”
