ITB: Under the 'Scope on Offense
In their quest for a repeat Super Bowl title, the Philadelphia Eagles will be relying on a few different pieces to step up.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher named players on the Eagles offense that are under the microscope entering 2025.

Adam Caplan: “Right now, he’s the favorite going into training camp. They thought heading into their offseason program last year that he would be the starter and unfortunately, he got hurt and never got a chance to get the job.”
Geoff Mosher: “If he doesn’t win the job, it’s hard to see him seeing year four. If he doesn’t either start or win the starting job at some point in the season, year four becomes a big question mark. Also, you’re now working on your fourth right guard in four years and then in 2026 you might talk about your fifth in five years.”
AJ Dillon
Mosher: “For him, it’s about that neck, making sure he’s healthy and then you have to be the player he was prior to his injuries.”
Caplan: “If (Saquon) Barkley gets hurt, they have to be able to run the football. A big reason he was signed was so they don’t have to wear down Barkley. You want him as a closer if you can, but we have to see what he looks like in training camp.”
Johnny Wilson
Mosher: “If he can just learn to use that big body to separate, contested catch, find ways to get open, you can use him in the red zone, there’s good usage opportunities for him.”
Caplan: “He has to get better separation…He played over a third of offensive snaps, but he was just there to block.”
Avery Williams
Mosher: “Per Nick (Sirianni), they have a role for him. They want him to be this returner/gadget/offensive weapon.”
Caplan: “He started his career off as a corner and then he got moved to running back. The Eagles are looking at him as a slot receiver. You’re really looking at him as a gadget player and someone who can return punts or kicks. We know he was dealing with some undisclosed injury during the latter part of OTAs. They really do have something in mind for him.”
