ITB: Injury Updates for Eagles and Giants
The banged-up Philadelphia Eagles will face their first NFC East test of the 2024 season, taking on a similarly ailing New York Giants team.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher discussed injury situations of both teams heading into Week 7.

Ainias Smith
Adam Caplan: “The question now is when is he going to be needed, because Cooper DeJean looked very good as a punt returner? Right now, they have five receivers, one of them did not dress, he is really not needed.”
Geoff Mosher: “It would be nice for them to have a natural fit at slot receiver who can go in there and not be telltale because they are not using any natural slot receivers.”
Jalen Carter
Mosher: “A real big concern on Thursday as Jalen Carter was not practicing with the team. We’ll see if maybe he gets back on.”
Caplan: “On Friday if he is even limited, chances are he is going to play. If he doesn’t, I would be very concerned. He’s a younger player, coaches are more apt to suggest to the head coach that if he didn’t practice, unless he goes through the walkthrough they don’t think he should play him. With a veteran, they have so much leeway even if they don’t practice…this is where Moro Ojomo comes in as his backup.”
Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Caplan: “Tracy will be the guy if (Devin) Singletary’s out, it’s very clear to me that Tracy has played himself into a role once Singletary is available.”
Malik Nabers
Mosher: “It looks like he’s going to be good to go with the concussion, but he popped up [on the injury report] with a groin injury.”
Dexter Lawrence
Mosher: “On the injury report, Lawrence did not practice Thursday, but he has told reporters he is playing on Sunday.”
Caplan: “I know we normally don’t do rankings, but he is right up there among the best defensive players in the National Football League, he has to be top five.”
Mosher: “He is so fast and quick and powerful at that size.”
