Dickerson Becomes Highest Paid Guard in NFL History
The Philadelphia Eagles have locked in a key piece of the offense for years to come.
Two-time Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson and the team have agreed to a four-year extension.
Per NFL Network, it will be the largest contract given to a guard in league history.
The #Eagles and Pro Bowl guard Landon Dickerson have agreed to terms on a 4-year extension worth $84M base, $87M max value, source said. He gets $50M total guaranteed and a $20M signing bonus. The highest-paid guard in NFL history at $21M per year.

Dickerson played various positions in his collegiate career before settling at center at Alabama. Several injury-riddled seasons turned a first round talent into a second round pick.
Selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Dickerson became the starting left guard by the third week of his rookie season following an injury to Brandon Brooks.
At 6’6 and 333 pounds, Dickerson along with tackle Jordan Mailaita have manned the left side of the offensive line and became one of the top duos in the NFL.
Next on the agenda is an extension for 2021 first round wideout DeVonta Smith.
The move precedes what is expected to be a busy free agency period for the Eagles. Nickel corner is one of the positions of need. While there is a chance to bring back Avonte Maddox on a cheaper deal, the 27-year-old is reportedly exploring all options.
Free agent CB Avonte Maddox is visiting the Saints, per source. Spent the last several seasons with the Eagles.
