GETTY IMAGES: The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to terms with EDGE Azeez Ojulari on a one-year deal.
Ojulari comes over from the NFC East foe New York Giants, where he was a second-round draft pick in 2021. His rookie season saw him set the organization’s record for sacks by a rookie, finishing with eight.
While his next few seasons have been marred by injuries, he has still been able to rack up pass rush numbers, recording 5.5 sacks in just seven games in 2022 and most recently recorded a six-sack season in 11 games during the 2024 campaign.
This marks the third edge rusher added this offseason following the departure of Josh Sweat and expected retirement of Brandon Graham, joining Josh Uche and Patrick Johnson.
At just 25-years-old when the 2025 season begins, Ojulari can slide into a rotation with Nolan Smith Jr. and Jalyx Hunt the only names currently guaranteed to see playing time. Bryce Huff also remains on the roster.
New Deal for Lane
The Eagles were not done with moves on Monday, reworking the contract of five-time All-Pro tackle Lane Johnson.
Amounting to essentially a one-year extension through 2027, the move increases guarantees on his current contract to lock in the 35-year-old.
