Secondary Concern

by

The initial Week 6 injury report for the Philadelphia Eagles brings more concern to the secondary.

All-Pro cornerback Darius Slay and starting safety Justin Evans both missed Wednesday’s practice due to a knee injury.

Eagles Safety Justin Evans misses Wednesday’s practice with a new injury

It is a concerning development for Evans, who just returned in Week 5 after missing the previous week due to a neck injury, while Slay finds himself on the injury report for the first time all season.

Marlon Tuipuloto, who missed last week with a triceps injury, is again not practicing.

In better news, the Eagles welcomed back two defensive starters: Fletcher Cox (back) and Nakobe Dean (foot) both returned to practice in a limited fashion.

Dean, who’s currently on injured reserve but had his 21-day practice window open up, has not played since Week 1, while Cox missed the win over the Rams due to a back procedure that was never expected to keep him out long term.

Sydney Brown (hamstring) who has missed the last two games, was also listed as limited along with Jack Stoll (shoulder).
