Lane Game
Several Starters Remain Missing From Practice
Several starters for the Philadelphia Eagles continue to not practice as of Thursday’s injury report.
The same five players as Wednesday did not participate once again: tight ends Dallas Goedert (forearm) and Grant Calcaterra (ankle), defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (groin), linebacker Zach Cunningham (hamstring), and safety Justin Evans (knee).
Time is running short for Goedert to return early after missing two games with a broken forearm, while Cunningham and Cox figure to leave the defense shorthanded.
The Eagles signed Ben VanSumeren to the 53 on Thursday morning to add a third healthy linebacker to the active roster.
A.J. Brown (thigh), Jordan Davis (hamstring), and Julio Jones (knee) remained limited in practice, while DeVonta Smith (knee) and D’Andre Swift (ankle) returned to practice in full.
Also practicing fully is a pair of absences from the previous game: right tackle Lane Johnson (groin) and defensive tackle Milton Williams (concussion), two important reinforcements for a 49ers matchup that are strong in the trenches.
