The Philadelphia Eagles are sorting out depth questions during the OTAs.

On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher gave intel on the latest transactions and provided updates on positional depth battles on the offensive side of the ball.

Adam Caplan: “I talked to an area scout…straight line fast, not instinctive, not elusive. Special teams guy, his speed gives him value. A fourth running back at best. He’s not going to make the team most likely other than special teams.”

Geoff Mosher: “The reason why the Jags got rid of him is because they have a new regime and they drafted two running backs already…The Eagles are clearly kicking tires on guys who might be better returners and special teamers than guys who are going to contribute a whole lot offensively.”

Tyler Steen/Kenyon Green

Mosher: “Tyler Steen so far has worked as the starting right guard in the OTA sessions that were open to the media. Not only has Steen started at right guard, but they have had to play Kenyon Green at left guard.”

Caplan: “I would be floored if Steen doesn’t get the early work with the ones to start training camp. The real question is do they let Kenyon Green compete for the job?”

Wide Receiver

Caplan: “We know (Jahan) Dotson is their three, that’s not in question. But four, five, and if they keep six are completely up for grabs.”
