Reddick Resolution
Eagles Trade All-Pro EDGE to Jets
The Haason Reddick saga has concluded for the Philadelphia Eagles, ending in a trade.
Reddick has been traded to the New York Jets for a conditional draft pick, per ESPN.
Trade: Eagles are sending edge-rusher Haason Reddick to the New York Jets for a conditional 2026 third-round pick that could be a second, sources tell ESPN.
The 2026 pick becomes a 2nd if Reddick has 67.5% playtime this season and has 10 or more sacks. If not, it’s a 2023 third pic.twitter.com/AcjiqZE2L4

After signing a three-year deal for $45 million in 2022, Reddick quickly become one of the best value signings in the NFL, recording 27 sacks in his two seasons with the Birds.
Reddick had been seeking a new deal entering his final year in 2023, something the team was hesitant to give a now 30-year old All-Pro. He was thus allowed to seek a trade.
In turn, the Eagles gave the ascending 25-year-old Bryce Huff a three-year deal after a breakout season with the Jets, allowing for an essential swap between the two teams.
Now under new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, the Eagles move forward with an edge rusher room featuring Huff and Josh Sweat, who returns to the team on a reworked deal, as well as 2023 first round pick Nolan Smith.
