The Philadelphia Eagles overcame an uneven offensive performance with a masterful defensive showing to defeat the Green Bay Packers.

On the Week 10 edition of the “Inside The Birds Postgame Show,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher gave their biggest takeaways from the 10-7 victory.

Offensive Line

Adam Caplan: “You’re starting to see a little bit of the impact of (Cam) Jurgens not being there. There were some times where clearly Brett Toth got beat…This is not the Eagles offensive line of last year, they’re just not the same physically.”

Geoff Mosher: “The Eagles had a respectable run game…Where it was really disappointing was third quarter and fourth quarter when you had that 10-0 lead and instead of getting two and three-yard grind it out runs, you had minus-six, minus-two. They were really going backwards with the run game there and that is something that they are going to have to figure out.”

DeVonta Smith

Mosher: “DeVonta Smith continues to be the guy who comes up with all of the high leverage catches. Huge touchdown. He has become Jalen Hurts’ one-on-one guy, it used to be A.J. Brown.”

A.J. Brown

Mosher: “It just doesn’t seem like they capitalize all the time on A.J. Brown’s strengths. There may also be a reality that he is no longer the guy that he once was.”

Jaelan Phillips

Caplan: “Jaelan Phillips showed up. He had a great debut, I don’t know how much more you can ask for from his guy.”

Mosher: “Forced fumble, fumble recovery, six tackles, several pressures and he played across the right tackle.”

Nakobe Dean

Mosher: “Nakobe is playing well as an off-ball linebacker. He is diagnosing well, he blitzed. Everybody was curious if he could come back from that devastating patellar tendon injury and be the same player and he looks pretty good. I understand why Vic (Fangio) is doing what he’s doing.”

Quinyon Mitchell

Mosher: “Three enormous PBUs…How good was Quinyon? Just a stud in this game. For whatever reason they went after him and that was a bad decision.”

Caplan: “We have to start talking about him as an All-Pro.”
