Andrew DiCecco: “The Eagles got one of the few true first round picks in that draft class, so you have to feel good about that.”

Geoff Mosher: “I like the fact that he can come in right away and contribute. He’s a very pro-ready type of wide receiver.”

Adam Caplan: “You have two guys that can go vertical: DeVonta Smith and Hollywood Brown. Intermediate area where Lemon really dominates, that’s what he’s going to do for them. When they go 11 personnel, he’s inside.”

Cole Wisniewski

DiCecco: “I talked to one of their coaches who oversaw the safeties. The big takeaway I got was this is a highly instinctual and intelligent football player.”

Mosher: “If you’re going to be a guy who may not fit the profile…you might as well do it at that position where right now there is an opportunity to make the team if you wind up proving that your skills translate and you can contribute on special teams.”

Caplan: “You don’t see safeties over 6’3, which he is…There is an area where you can get a tall guy in there who has pretty good toughness, good character, good processing as we understand it. This is where coaching matters here and you have to trust Vic Fangio and the defensive back coaches here.”

Cole Payton

Caplan: “There are throws that don’t have enough juice. Despite the size and athleticism, he doesn’t have the arm strength or the accuracy.”

DiCecco: “You look at that size, you can’t help but wonder if they can figure out a way to accentuate what he does well. He is very athletic.”

Mosher: “I spoke to someone who was at his pro day and watched a lot of tape on him. This person and his team weren’t sure he is a quarterback in the truest sense.”

Micah Morris

Mosher: “I sent a list of the Eagles’ day three picks to an AFC personnel person. He thought the one who had the best chance to stick was Morris. He couldn’t really explain why Morris would fall to the sixth round despite testing that well.”

DiCecco: “It might have to do with the 19 career starts. At the combine, he weighed in at 334 but at Pro Day, he was listed at 350.”

Uar Bernard

Mosher: “The big challenge is staying healthy. He may be a great athlete, but as Jordan Mailata found out trying to play football for the first time, when you actually start putting on the pads and getting hit every single day and you have never done that before, your body is going to react accordingly.”
