Kind Of A Big Deal
Eagles Reward Nick Sirianni With New Contract
Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie alluded to a new contract for Nick Sirianni being imminent two months ago during NFL Owners Meetings, and on early Monday, the team announced a multi-year extension with its Super Bowl champion head coach.
Sirianni, who piloted a prolific 2024 campaign that resulted in an Eagles win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, owns a career record of 48-20, including a 6-3 postseason record. The fifth-year head coach also has a resume that includes two Super Bowl trips.
In terms of winning percentage, Sirianni sits fifth all time at .706.

While many on the outside are quick to point to loaded Eagles rosters over the years as the primary ingredient for Sirianni’s success, to minimize the coach’s impact would be negligent.
For perspective, the 48-year-old Sirianni entered the 2024 season under intense scrutiny on the heels of an unprecedented late-season skid in 2023. Many even questioned whether or not Sirianni should have been retained.
But with Sirianni comes strong culture, a universal belief and team-first mindset, complementing the inherent emotional intelligence that Lurie sought when he hired Sirianni in 2021 to replace Doug Pederson.
Passionate and steadfast in his beliefs, Sirianni oozes authenticity and relatability that manifests at every turn.
Credit Lurie for remaining patient and supporting his head coach, reaffirming Sirianni was the best candidate to bring a Lombardi Trophy back to Philadelphia.
“As an organization, we have always strived to create a championship culture of sustained success,” Lurie said in his statement regarding the Sirianni extension. “Nothing is more important to fostering such an environment than having tremendous leadership.
“Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago. His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team. I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles.”
The Eagles hired Sirianni, then a fresh-faced, largely unknown offensive coordinator of the Indianapolis Colts back in 2021. He has since become the pillar of stability and leadership when it comes to upholding high standards and routinely delivering winning seasons.
