ITB: Behind the Birds' Undefeated Record

by

The Philadelphia Eagles are standing strong as one of the remaining three undefeated teams in the NFL.

On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher discussed the standouts from the team’s first three games.

Nick Sirianni

Nick Sirianni

Adam Caplan: “Sirianni in the regular season is now 15-4 on the road, best record in the National Football League since the beginning of 2021. The Eagles have won 10 out of their last 11 road games. They are so mentally tough and take a great approach from being away from home.”

Geoff Mosher: “Talent is a big part of it, preparation which I put on coaching…for a young head coach who doesn’t have a long track record.”

Offensive Line

Caplan: “When you look at this offensive line, they were incredible. Cam Jurgens is really coming on here. It’s not about how much you weigh but about hand usage and he is getting better and better. Some of these guys have played here together for a long time. It’s a beautiful thing when they have it going on, it’s like synchronized swimming.”

D’Andre Swift

Caplan: “Swift is special. His acceleration and explosiveness and vision is something else. I said before the game that if they get a sizeable lead of more than 10 points, get Swift out of the game and protect him. They are living dangerously, 20 carries is ridiculous.”

Jalen Carter

Mosher: “The Packers are revered from being able to go from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers, for the Eagles to go from Fletcher Cox to eventually just Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis, that to me is a defensive version. What we are seeing early of Carter is a damn good player who has a really high ceiling. This guy is scratching the surface of it. He has a plan, pass rush moves, is violent, he moves people, him and Jordan Davis are a problem right now.”
