ITB: Which Defensive Linemen Prospects are the Eagles Looking At?
NFL teams are wrapping up their 30 allotted visits ahead of the upcoming 2025 draft, with the Philadelphia Eagles focusing on defensive linemen.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher provided intel on d-line prospects that have visited the Eagles.

Adam Caplan: “The question mark is strictly on football character or character. If he makes it to 32, which would be hard to believe, it would be there was some concern for him off the field. But our understanding is it’s not too bad…He is a phenomenal football player, I would be stunned if he made it to them.”
Geoff Mosher: “This is not a guy who I have heard any legal off-field issues. It’s more about the people he’s associated with and his off-field lifestyle. That’s a lot of people, but you’re talking about a first-round pick so it becomes very important…The way teams have described him is high-motor, moves side-to-side really well, great athleticism. He’s the type of defensive tackle that would fit an upfield scheme like a wide 9 scheme.”

Caplan: “He has good length here. Turner is a good football player. Certainly not a first-round pick, he is going to be a second day guy.”
Elijah Roberts
Caplan: “He is a smaller d-tackle, but super active, really can get upfield and rush the passer. He had 17.5 sacks over his final two seasons, all at SMU. What we are going to look into is it because of the system?…We’re seeing a trend here: up the field pass rushers, lack of size but explosive, productive players.”

Caplan: “He is an edge rusher with bigger than average size for that position…6’2, 257, arm length 33, wingspan good, hands 10.”
Mosher: “I spoke to a couple of teams about him, they like him. More round two than round one…He played at 280, which people thought was a little bit big…I was told he was down to 255 by his pro day and the combine.”
Donovan Ezeiruaku
Caplan: “The only issue here is having Nolan Smith who’s 6’2, Ezeiruaku who’s 6’2 and a half, 248, that’s really small. What you love is he’s long, 34-inch arms. From a size standpoint, are you willing to have two undersized edges?”
Mosher: “I have been told he is a great kid, really good character.”
