ITB Postgame Live: Eagles Look Dominant for First Time in Long Time
For the first time in almost a calendar year, the Philadelphia Eagles came away with a comfortable victory with strong performances on both sides of the ball.
On the Week 7 edition of “Inside The Birds Postgame Live,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher reacted to the 28-3 win over the NFC East foe New York Giants.

Nakobe Dean
Adam Caplan: “They used Dean as a blitzer. I saw this in training camp. He was so impactful, they didn’t ID him…He got credit with the most quarterback hits today at four.”
Pass Coverage
Geoff Mosher: “They had better coverage. They didn’t let Malik Nabers go crazy on them, Nabers has had really good games in even in losses for the Giants. They made it tough for Daniel Jones to get the ball to him…You have to say that’s because the Eagles were tighter and buttoned up on the backend.”
Caplan: “The coverage was so sticky. Generally when a team has a big lead, you play dime and the other team puts up garbage yards. The Giants couldn’t even do that.”
Run Defense
Mosher: “I can’t recall any real missed tackles that hurt them. If you’re looking for development that you consider to be sustainable, even against bad teams, they seem to have cleaned up their issues getting the ballcarriers on the ground.”
Caplan: “The missed tackle rate was way down.”
Saquon Barkley
Mosher: “I will give him not only credit for the long runs, he ran very tough. He did not go down on first contact which is something we have seen him do better this year than he did with the Giants.”
Caplan: “He is squeezing the hole really well. NFL holes are much smaller than college, traditionally.”
