Moore Saints Hires

New Saints HC Picking from Eagles Staff

by

Since being named head coach of the New Orleans Saints, former Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has been hard at work, piecing together his coaching staff.

Predictably, Moore has already leaned on a familiar face to start, and from the way things are trending, there’s likely at least another to follow.

On Tuesday afternoon, it was announced that Moore will be poaching Eagles’ Run Game Specialist and Assistant Offensive Line Coach T.J. Paganetti, though his new title remains unknown.

Paganetti, 35, originally began his coaching career back in 2013 as an analyst (offense and quarterbacks) for the Eagles. He served two seasons in that role before. Paganetti has held various roles with the team over the years, including offensive quality control and assistant running backs coach.

It is also becoming increasingly more likely that Moore is zeroing in on Eagles quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier as his offensive coordinator. While Nussmeier hasn’t yet held the title at the professional level, the veteran coach has extensive experience presiding over offenses at the collegiate level.

Nussmeier has worked closely with Moore over the years, dating back to 2018, when Moore coached the quarterbacks and Nussmeier the tight ends. Nussmeier joined Moore in 2023 as his quarterbacks coach the Chargers and reunited last season in Philadelphia.
