SEAHAWKS WEBSITE: Seahawks secondary coach Karl Scott will reportedly remain in Seattle despite reports of joining Eagles.

Scott was expected to join new defensive line coach Clint Hurtt in Philadelphia. The two spent the last two seasons on the Seahawks defensive staff, Hurtt as defensive coordinator and Scott the team’s secondary coach and defensive passing game coordinator.

Now, Scott, who has success coaching defensive backs at both the collegiate level with Alabama and the NFL level with the Seahawks, will reportedly stay on Seattle’s staff with new head coach and defensive guru Mike Macdonald leading the way.

Outside of Fangio’s hiring, no official announcement has been made regarding the status of the Eagles’ defensive staff. The team split secondary coaching duties among three guys in 2023: DBs coach D.K. McDonald, assistant DBs coach Taver Johnson, and nickelbacks coach Ronell Williams.
