‘What’s Going On?’
ITB Postgame Live: What Went Right, Wrong for Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles went into survivor mode but ultimately came away with a 28-23 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
On the Week 9 edition of “Inside The Birds Postgame Live,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher reacted to the team’s fourth straight victory.
Nick Sirianni
Adam Caplan: “The strangeness of the three missed two-point conversions, that’s bad. I don’t know what’s going on.”
Jalen Hurts
Geoff Mosher: “Another efficient game for Jalen Hurts…I know there was a near interception, but the bottom line is it was clean and efficient football.”
Caplan: “I thought he played exceptionally well for the most part, yes he took some sacks but I like that he was willing to hang in there and not bail…He got hit a bit, but he looked healthy.”
Saquon Barkley
Caplan: “Today was a crazy 46 versus 24 [runs and passes]. If you want to call the Eagles a running team, I am not going to argue. You have Saquon Barkley who right now is the team’s MVP, he’s unbelievable.”
Isaiah Rodgers
Mosher: “[The Jaguars] definitely went after him. It’s his first start in almost two years so you know that they are going to go after him. He is also a shorter corner and they have some bigger targets.”
Caplan: “That’s something they are going to have to look into. I don’t think all of a sudden they are going to play [Kelee] Ringo over him, but they are going to have to clean stuff up.”
Nakobe Dean
Mosher: “Dean, whose play himself has gotten better as the weeks have gone on, makes a very alert play to seal [the win].”
