Cosell Evaluates Top Notch 2024 Offensive Line Class

by

The Philadelphia Eagles could benefit from an extremely deep offensive line class in the upcoming NFL draft.

On “The Intel With Cosell” on “Inside The Birds” legendary NFL Films analyst Greg Cosell joined Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher to break down the top o-line prospects.

Joe Alt

Greg Cosell: “I think he is an athletic finesse tackle more than he is a physical power tackle. I think he is a guy that plays with excellent body position, clean footwork and leverage in the run game, understands angles. He has light feet and really good balance. The thing I kept struggling with, I don’t think when it came to pass protection he had strength and power in his hands and throughout his body.”

Tailese Fuaga

Cosell: “There were times watching him that I thought he could be the best pro tackle in the class with his size, strength, nasty demeanor guy. He is another guy that I think some people will look at him at guard. In the run game, Fuaga is a powerful, competitive, take no prisoners menace.”

JC Latham

Cosell: “There is a really powerful feel to his game. He moves well, is kind of mean and nasty He is another fun guy to watch, he has size and mass in the run game, came off the ball low, generated force and power. He converted strength to power.”

Graham Barton

Cosell: “A lot of people are talking about him at center, which is probably fair because he has the body frame and movement traits of an inside player more than a tackle.”

Amarius Mims

Cosell: “This guy is truly one of the most fascinating prospects in the entire draft. He has rare size for the position and a higher-level traits profile… You could make the argument that when he is playing at his best that he could be the best o-tackle prospect in the draft. But he is hurt all the time and got hurt again at the combine. This guy has outstanding reps in the run game and pass protection, has ridiculous length and mass, really long arms, can control the edge in pass protection.”

Tyler Guyton

Cosell: “Outstanding athleticism, impressive mover. You have to remember that he was only a full-time starter for one year…This guy is naturally athletic, has an easy kick slide, bends his knees, has good body movement. He has that issue at times where he struggles to stop at the top of his pass set.”
