ITB: Players to Watch After Practices with Browns
The Philadelphia Eagles are learning a lot about their team during their week with the Cleveland Browns.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Andrew DiCecco gave their standouts from the two joint practices.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson
Andrew DiCecco: “I think Dorian Thompson-Robinson has started to come on after not making that much of a splash earlier in camp…He’s starting to build some confidence. He throws a nice pass. The more reps that he’s getting, the more rhythm he’s getting into. The receivers that he’s working with, they have confidence in him and vice versa.”
Darius Cooper
DiCecco: “He can play inside, he can play outside, and the moment never seems to be too big for him. I think it speaks to the way that he has progressed that no matter who the quarterback is, whether it is Jalen Hurts or Tanner McKee, they trust him to go and make the play and attack the football and I think there is something to be said for that.”
Adam Caplan: “He has major urgency, a scouting term…This kid is making it. He does it every practice.”
Brett Toth
DiCecco: “Brett has mastered the technique of Jeff Stoutland. He knows how things are supposed to look and he knows his teammates, so I think there’s a lot of continuity when you plug somebody like that in.”
Caplan: “If he starts Week 1, they would certainly have the tallest offensive line in the National Football League.”
Sydney Brown
DiCecco: “This really emphasized what Sydney Brown can do when he’s in his element: attacking like a heat-seeking missile at the line of scrimmage. There were a couple of times where he charged in there to pop Dylan Sampson, the rookie running back for the Cleveland Browns.”
Edge Rushers
Caplan: “They kind of all flashed. (Azeez) Ojulari on Wednesday, you see that length. Josh Uche can still get upfield, he’s clearly ahead of Ojulari.”
DiCecco: “[Ojulari] has had moments, but Josh Uche is clearly the number three edge rusher right now based on how they deploy him and production…He gets into the backfield so quickly that sometimes you have to remind yourself that this is the player who in 2022 had 11.5 sacks.”
Mac McWilliams
DiCecco: “Mac McWilliams for three practices in a row has been working on the outside. Vic Fangio doesn’t offer hallow praise for the sake of doing so, he has offered a ringing endorsement of sorts on multiple occasions.”
