ITB: Defensive 53-Man Roster Projection
The Philadelphia Eagles’ unit on defense is set to look very different in 2025.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan concluded their pre-OTA 53-man roster projection with the defensive side of the ball.

Geoff Mosher: “Vic (Fangio) is not going to play him, so if Howie (Roseman) can unload him for anything, I would think he would eat it to give the opportunity to someone who Vic is going to play.”
Adam Caplan: “As ugly as it got for him last season…if you’re trading for him, that’s starter money.”
Inside Linebackers
Caplan: “(Smael) Mondon is a guy that really does project well for this scheme. I like him as the fourth guy.”
Cornerbacks
Caplan: “I have four, it’s a numbers issue. I don’t have (Eli) Ricks on it, this staff did not like him. They’re kind of short there going into OTAs.”
Mosher: “I have the same. I wrestled with Adoree Jackson because he’s probably a guy they can bring on the practice squad, but I just kept him on.”
Safety
Caplan: “Maxen Hook, the undrafted free agent from Toledo, I went back-and-forth with him but I have (Lewis) Cine making it.”
Mosher: “I kept Tristin McCollum. I tried to balance it out, I know they kept [Cine] on the roster last year when they didn’t have to because they wanted to give him a shot this year to compete. But he didn’t make it with the Vikings, got hurt, Bills had him on the practice squad and didn’t do anything with him.”

Rick’s and Tristin have been serviceable, but Adoree is a proven student. Preseason will bear that out…a little older, but look at Slay last year…no Slay – no Supe!
