The Philadelphia Eagles have sprinkled in a mix of newcomers among the 17 practice squad members.

On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher discussed additions to the team’s newly-formed practice squad.

Jaydon Blue

Adam Caplan: “Blue had major character concerns in terms of maturity. Coaches don’t trust him despite the obvious talent. I was told that he would have gone in the third round had teams trusted him. Cowboys will take risks on character…the Eagles infrastructure is better than the Cowboys. They have a way of understanding through player programs, good veterans, good coaching who can reach players. Jaydon Blue’s final year at Texas, his numbers were phenomenal.”

Geoff Mosher: “There’s some benefit of development. He’s certainly an explosive player and the Eagles like explosive players. We have talked throughout the offseason about what the Eagles running back room will like after 2026…When you’re running a look team this year, you’re going to face some opponents who have pretty good pass catching backs.”

Kiran Amegadjie

Caplan: “He is an athletic left tackle. Was a third rounder in ’24 and he just never made it, have some injuries. He wasn’t what the Bears thought they were getting when they drafted him. It didn’t happen, but the guy is talented…The question is can they cross-train him to play right tackle?”

Mosher: “He’s big and athletic, we have to find out if he’s talented.”

Mason Reiger

Caplan: “He was an NFL combine-invitee. He has decent length, not a great athlete, but there’s something there.”

Mosher: “Pretty rare to get invited to the combine and not get drafted.”

Robert Longerbeam

Mosher: “He had a good camp last year [in Baltimore], pushed to make the team, but he got hurt…He’s 5’11, 175 pounds, but this guy has longer arms than both Quinyon Mitchell and Kelee Ringo.”

Caplan: “His injury was devastating. He had a torn patellar tendon.”
