Bradley To IR
Birds Ink DT To Replace LB's Loss
The Eagles on Monday placed fourth-year linebacker Shaun Bradley on Injured Reserve.
Bradley tore his Achilles in Saturday’s preseason opener against the Ravens, and was carted off the field.
Later, he posted a message on his social media account:
I appreciate everyone who reached out an kept me in their prayers…. Means alot… it sucks but we will be back better than ever i promise that. Cant hold me down forever💯🙏🏾❤️

Bradley, a former Temple standout, has mainly performed on special teams during his three-year career. He played 80% of special teams snaps last year without seeing a single snap on defense.
The 26-year-old New Jersey native’s standing with the club was in jeopardy this summer, as he faced an uphill climb to grab one of the last roster spots for linebackers behind Nakobe Dean, Nic Morrow, Christian Elliss, and veteran newcomers Zach Cunningham and Myles Jack.
Also in the mix is undrafted free agent Ben VanSumeren, who would be a special-teams performer if he made the 53.
To fill the roster void, the Eagles signed defensive tackle Olive Sagapolu, a 6-foot-2, 330-pound interior lineman who played collegiately at Wisconsin who has signed with three different NFL organizations – Packers, Lions and Falcons – but has never appeared on a 53-man roster and most recently played for the USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers.
