The team announced that it signed former Colts cornerback Isaiah Rodgers and placed him on the Reserve/Suspended list, and also waived massive nose tackle Noah Elliss with an injury settlement.

Rodgers, a 2020 sixth-round pick, was a rookie when Eagles coach Nick Sirianni was still the Colts’ offensive coordinator, and when Jonathan Gannon served as defensive backs coach before joining Sirianni in Philadelphia as defensive coordinator.

Rodgers received an indefinite suspension from the NFL in June for violating the league’s policy against gambling and was subsequently waived by the Colts before going unclaimed.

Per CBS Sports, Rodgers and two other players, including a Colts teammate, were found to have wagered on NFL games in 2022. He and the others can apply for reinstatement at the end of the 2023.

Per ESPN, one of Rodgers’ wagers was a prop bet on a Colts running back:

The 5-foot-10 nickel corner/kick returner has started 10 of his career 49 games, with three interceptions – all coming in 2021 – and 90 career tackles.

As a kick returner, he’s averaged about 27 yards per return on 61 career returns, with a long of 101 for a touchdown. He also has three career punt returns.
