Four More
Several Birds Miss Practice Ahead of Week 5
The initial Week 5 injury report for the Philadelphia lists four non-participants, all who have yet to miss a game in the 2023 season.
Britain Covey (Concussion), Fletcher Cox (Back), Cam Jurgens (Foot), and Marlon Tuipuloto (Triceps) all missed Wednesday’s practice.
Jurgens is expected to miss multiple weeks the foot injury, while Covey and Tuipuloto are on the injury report for the first time this season.
After appearing on the injury report for multiple weeks with a rib injury, Cox returns to the injury report with a back injury.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport had more intel on Cox’s injury.
#Eagles DL Fletcher Cox underwent an epidural injection procedure this week to alleviate discomfort he'd been experiencing in his back over the past couple weeks, source said. If he has to miss any time, the expectation is it's not more than one game.

Meanwhile, there is hope for a healthier secondary with Sydney Brown (Hamstring) back in practice in a limited fashion and Justin Evans (Neck) practicing in full, though Evans curiously missed Week 4’s matchup despite practicing fully last Friday.
Quez Watkins (Hamstring) returned to practice in full, helping the receiver situation if Covey can’t go.
