Decimated DBs
Several Starters Listed on Monday's Injury Report
A quick turnaround could leave the Philadelphia Eagles very shorthanded for Thursday night’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
Monday’s injury report, estimated from a walkthrough, lists five starters from Week 1 as not participating: safety Reed Blankenship, cornerback James Bradberry (concussion), defensive Tackle Fletcher Cox (ribs), linebacker Nakobe Dean (Foot), and running back Kenny Gainwell (ribs).

Gainwell comes as the biggest surprise after featuring as the lead back in the opening matchup against the Patriots, playing 62% of the snaps and being the only RB to handle more than one carry, 14 in total.
The other four left the game at some point with only Blankenship returning. Dean is already confirmed to be out multiple weeks, with Bradberry and Cox both facing an uphill battle to be ready.
On “Inside The Birds Postgame Live,” former Eagles tight end Clay Harbor doubted anybody who could not finish the game on Sunday would be healthy enough to play by Thursday.
Meanwhile, Philadelphia’s Week 2 opponent – the Minnesota Vikings – issued an estimated injury report that also lists only starters, though Center Garrett Bradbury (back) is the only one listed as not participating.
Left tackle Christian Darrisaw and EDGE Marcus Davenport were both listed as limited.
