Smith Missing from Start of Practice

by

PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles (8-3) held their final practice of the week on an unseasonably warm November afternoon ahead of a Friday meeting with the Chicago Bears (8-3),

At the start of practice, DE Brandon Graham (groin) was spotted in the stretch line. WR Xavier Gipson (shoulder) was present but was a non-participant. He stood off to the side as teammates warmed up.

Notably, there was no sign of WR DeVonta Smith (shoulder/chest) at the start of practice, which will be something to monitor. If Smith is unable to go, look for Jahan Dotson to undertake an elevated role in the receiving game opposite A.J. Brown. As expected, no practice for T Lane Johnson (foot) or S Drew Mukuba (ankle).

The official practice report will come out later today.

On Tuesday, for context, the Eagles held a walkthrough, so the report below was an estimation:

Estimated non-participants were WR Xavier Gipson (shoulder), DE Brandon Graham (groin), T Lane Johnson (foot), S Andrew Mukuba (ankle) and WR DeVonta Smith (shoulder/chest).

Estimated limited participants were RB Saquon Barkley (groin), S Reed Blankenship (thigh) and G Landon Dickerson (knee).

Myles Hinton (back), CB Adoree’ Jackson (gameday concussion protocol evaluation), G/C Willie Lampkin (knee/ankle) were estimated full participants.

Note on Jackson: The veteran cornerback was evaluated for a concussion Sunday in Dallas but was cleared. Jackson was held out of the remainder of the game as a precautionary measure. He was practicing Wednesday and is expected to be good to go for Friday afternoon.
