Adam Caplan: “Almost always, coaching retirements, head coach and coordinator, happen within three-to-five days after a team’s season is done. The big reason is you don’t want to hold up your coaches so they can get work.”

Geoff Mosher: “You would think 80% that he fulfills the last year of his contract, but you never know. At this point I would be surprised if he coached beyond 2026. This would clearly be his last year.”

Jim Schwartz

Caplan: “Schwartz is completely different. I understand they won a Super Bowl with him nine years ago.”

Joe Kasper

Caplan: “Joe Kasper would be the in-house candidate. He is a Vic protégé.”

Mosher: “We know what we have been told about Joe Kasper and how great of a coach they expect him to be. I don’t know if the Eagles could walk into 2026 after how last year ended and have two guys as a coordinator who have never called plays.”

Sean Mannion

Mosher: “There’s a good video of him circulating…he said that in his last few years of playing, he was already thinking of going into coaching and he was using his playing career to weaponize how he would be coaching. He wasn’t just playing quarterback, he was studying how these coaches that he was playing for were using their schemes.”

Caplan: “You look at his entire career in a West Coast offense. Does he take most from (Sean) McVay which most people think?”

Josh Grizzard

Caplan: “The fact that they brought Grizzard in, who is only a year or two older than Sean Mannion, I love that Grizzard has (Mike) McDaniel stuff.”
