‘A Real Chance’

ITB: Who is Standing Out During Eagles Training Camp?

by

There are plenty of takeaways from the Philadelphia Eagles’ first few days of training camp.

On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher provided the latest intel from camp.

Terrace Marshall

GETTY IMAGES: WR Terrace Marshall Jr. is improving his chances to make the Eagles’ 53-man roster with a strong start to training camp.

Jalen Hurts

Adam Caplan: “I liked what I saw. Hurts had some big-time tight throw windows. He did miss some comparatively to the first two practices. It wasn’t a bad practice.”

Caplan: “He’s getting passes 20 yards downfield, you’re seeing his size, he stands out…I’m told he’s bringing energy every practice throughout the practice. There’s a real chance he’s going to make this football team.”

Geoff Mosher: “You can see why he was a top 60 pick. To be 6’3, over 200 [pounds], and runs the way he runs, he has a lot of natural abilities.”

Azeez Ojulari

Mosher: “I thought the athleticism, looking spry was there for Ojulari.”

Caplan: “Ojulari may wind up being the subpackage rusher over (Jalyx) Hunt or he sees the majority of them in pass rush situations.”

Kelee Ringo

Caplan: “In Saturday’s practice, he was right with (A.J.) Brown. He’s got length and speed, it’s just everything else.”

Reed Blankenship

Mosher: “An extension [of his contract] is not there and you wonder how much longer that’s going to be. At the same time, they have these young safeties in Drew Mukuba, Sydney Brown, and Tristin McCollum mixing in the first team. I just wonder about the whole dynamics of the position at this point.”

Caplan: “I’m a little surprised that he does not have a deal yet…Mukuba’s going to be a starter whether it’s this season or next and it’s not out of the question that (Cooper) DeJean becomes a safety down the line. That’s what you have to battle against.”
