Two Safeties Miss Practice
The initial Week 4 injury report for the Philadelphia Eagles lists multiple players in the secondary as well as Quez Watkins for the second week in a row.
Safeties Sydney Brown and Justin Evans both did not participate in practice, Brown with a hamstring injury and Justin Evans with a neck injury.
Evans started opposite of Reed Blankenship on Week 3’s Monday Night Football matchup, but left after six snaps. Terrell Edmunds filled in most of the rest of the way, but Sydney Brown saw 12 snaps on defense overall.
Now with both missing practice, the Eagles are down to just two “healthy” safeties on the 53-man roster, with Blankenship just recently coming back from a ribs injury. The team only has Triston McCollum on the practice squad.
Britain Covey (Hamstring), Fletcher Cox (Knee), Zach Cunningham (Ribs), and Cam Jurgens (Groin) were listed as limited.
Landon Dickerson (Knee) was a full participant despite exiting Week 3 early due to injury, as well as Boston Scott who missed Monday night with a concussion.
