Deal with Dillon
Eagles Pickup Backup RB
The Philadelphia Eagles finally made their first outside free agent signing of the offseason, reportedly agreeing to terms with running back AJ Dillon per Fox Sports.
Dillon joins the defending Super Bowl champions after five seasons with the Green Bay Packers, though he missed the 2024 season due to a neck injury.
When healthy, Dillon, a 2020 second round draft pick, has served as a complementary power back, tallying 16 career touchdowns and has rushed for at least 600 yards in his past three seasons.
With Saquon Barkley as the centerpiece of the offense, the 26-year-old Dillon will be relied upon more as injury insurance, and most importantly, pass protection following the departure of Kenny Gainwell to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
