ITB: Players Who Made an Impact During OTAs and Minicamp
There are several takeaways from the Philadelphia Eagles at the conclusion of their offseason team practices.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher, Adam Caplan, and Andrew DiCecco named standouts from the offseason practices.
Danny Gray
Andrew DiCecco: “For maximizing his opportunity, he has looked really crisp in running routes. That has been Tanner McKee’s go-to receiver. He’s going to have a decent shot of making it, every rep counts for a player like that.”
Geoff Mosher: “There’s a real opportunity for Danny Gray. While we try not to make too much of OTAs, you want one thing to validate the other.”
Adam Caplan: “He can run, that’s the reason why he’s here, and you see it. When I put my notes down, I put ‘speed!.”
Will Shipley
Mosher: “I saw a lot of Will Shipley catching passes.”
Caplan: “The way that he moves, he’s an explosive mover…can Shipley handle 15-18 carries a game if need be? Nobody knows.”
DiCecco: “When you need to replace someone like Saquon Barkley in the middle of the game, wouldn’t you want to go with somebody who’s a change of pace, who has that dynamic quality where he can hit the home run and have some juice after the catch?…I just think Will Shipley has another level that he can take the offense to because he does have those explosive qualities.”
Azeez Ojulari
Mosher: “When you’re near Ojulari, you can tell that wingspan and arm length of his, it’s really a thing to see.”
Caplan: “He’s the first guy off the bench.”
Kelee Ringo
DiCecco: “He’s physical, has good size, had a couple of pass breakups. I still think he’s a little handsy and I don’t know how he’s going to fare when the pads come on.”
Caplan: “His length is exactly what you want in size.”
