The New York Giants have made another addition to the wide receiver room with the signing of Allen Robinson.

Robinson, now 30-years-old, joins his fourth team in four seasons after spending the 2023 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, recording 34 catches for 280 yards.

While his best days seem behind him, not recording a 1,000+ yard season since 2020, he can provide a steady veteran presence for one of the younger WR cores in the league.

But Robinson’s roster spot is far from guaranteed in a crowded mix of players headlined by Malik Nabers, the sixth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. In the mix for the remaining spots are Jailyn Hyatt, Wan’Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins, Isaiah McKenzie, Miles Boykin, and return specialist Gunner Olszewski.

Rams Trade WR

After the reported release of wide receiver Ben Skowronek earlier in the day, the Los Angeles Rams have instead traded him to the Houston Texans.

Skowronek, who signed with Los Angeles as an undrafted free agent in 2021, was a team captain for the Rams in 2023 with a significant role on special teams playing 71% of the snaps.

At 6’3, 224 pounds, the 26-year-old can also serve as a big-bodied target and blocker in the run game.

Dupree Visiting

Veteran pass rushers are still available on the free agent market, one being Bud Dupree.

The 31-year-old EDGE recently wrapped up a visit to the Los Angeles Chargers and is in talks with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Falcons.

Dupree spent the 2023 season with Atlanta and notched 6.5 sacks, his most since 2020.

His best numbers came from his days with Pittsburgh playing across T.J. Watt. In 2019, he set a career high with 10.5 sacks. He would join a similarly talented pass rush unit led by Joey Bosa (when healthy) and Khalil Mack.
