‘Such a Strong Arm’

ITB Postgame: Lot to Like from Hurts' Performance

The Philadelphia Eagles looked every bit as dominant as they should be in a 31-0 shutout over the Las Vegas Raiders.

On the Week 15 edition of “Inside The Birds Postgame,” Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan identified the biggest standouts.

Brandon Graham

Geoff Mosher: “Brandon Graham came out of retirement to save the Eagles’ edge rush…Low and behold, he has come through for the Eagles as an interior defensive lineman for the last two games and had two sacks and is a dominant force.”

Adam Caplan: “He played left defensive tackle. It’s kind of incredible because they list him at 6’2, but you and I know he’s more 6’1.”

Jalen Hurts

Caplan: “He had two dimes: the big one to DeVonta (Smith) was a great throw and the slant for the touchdown to A.J. Brown.”

Mosher: “The wind was blowing hard toward the north end zone. That’s when he threw his long pass to DeVonta Smith and the 27-yarder to A.J. Brown. I have to think on a day when you’re not throwing the ball much, that was a calculated decision…I thought that was smart on Jalen Hurts’ part.”

Caplan: “When he’s decisive, he has such a strong arm.”

Jalyx Hunt

Caplan: “Jalyx Hunts gets better and better and better. I thought his upside is better than Josh Sweat, maybe I’m underselling it a little bit.”

Mosher: “He plays so hard. He’s in on almost everything, collapses the pocket. Once he learns finishing moves, he’ll continue to do. I’m really impressed with how he plays as a second-year player who like five years ago was a safety and is now an edge.”
