ITB: Can Eagles Manage if Dickerson Misses Time?
A positive training camp practice for the Philadelphia Eagles was overshadowed by a late injury to their Pro Bowl guard.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher provided intel on Dickerson’s injury as well as potential short-term replacements and gave their latest practice observations.

ITB: Eagles guard Matt Pryor will likely see increased reps in Landon Dickerson’s absence.
Landon Dickerson
Adam Caplan: “It was on pass protection late in practice. The ones went back on the field. He got pushed back and he went down.”
Geoff Mosher: “The Eagles knew when they drafted him that he had a laundry list of injuries…the good news is he always seems to come back and play at a high level.”
Brandon Scherff
Caplan: “Terrific player at one point in his career. At 33-years old, he’s near the end. He has been a right guard, that’s the issue there. You’re asking him to do something he hasn’t done.”
Matt Pryor/Darian Kinnard
Mosher: “You’re looking at Matt Pryor or Kinnard as the first guard off the bench. Pryor has way more experience, but I think most of his guard experience is on the right side, so I wonder if they would play him at right guard and move Steen to left guard.”
Darius Cooper
Caplan: “They reduce [his split]. He’s not a true outside receiver, they move him in. He returned some kicks.”
Mosher: “After the first preseason game is when you start to see a little bit of depth chart movement. Cooper, who last week took one or two first team reps, now he’s working more with the first team and doing some special teams.”
Jihaad Campbell
Caplan: “He made some flash plays, he’s getting better. He’s very physical, last night he was really bringing it.”
