Moore On the Carousel
Saints Request Interview with Eagles OC
The NFL coaching carousel is underway following the end of the 2024 regular season and the Philadelphia Eagles could find themselves as unwilling participants.
Per ESPN, the New Orleans Saints have reportedly requested an interview with Eagles Offensive Coordinator Kellen Moore for their head coaching job.
Moore’s stock has never been higher following the transformation of an Eagles offense that became stagnant by the end of their 2023 season. In his first year at the helm, Philadelphia produced the best rushing attack in the league, uncharacteristic for both Philadelphia and Moore, with a 2,000 yard season from Saquon Barkley on their way to a 14-3 record.
The 36-year-old fits the profile of a young offensive mind that is sought after by many teams, something the Saints may be looking for following two-and-a-half seasons with the defensive-oriented Dennis Allen leading the team.
Any interview with Moore would have to wait until at least following the Eagles’ Wild Card matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 4:30 p.m.
