While the Philadelphia Eagles avoided the worst-case scenario when it comes to starting left tackle Jordan Mailata’s injury, they are expected to be without him for the next few weeks, according to Head Coach Nick Sirianni.

Mailata exited the fourth quarter of the Philadelphia Eagles’ 20-16 Week 6 victory over the Cleveland Browns, having to be helped off and placed onto a cart. The team quickly ruled him out with a hamstring injury.

Without Mailata, Fred Johnson is the leading candidate to protect Jalen Hurts’ blindside for the time being. The versatile tackle has played both sides of the line, previously filling in for the All-Pro RT Lane Johnson in Week 3 and 4.

On Monday afternoon, Sirianni also touched on the status of starting TE Dallas Goedert and CB Darius Slay, who both left the game with injuries as well, stating that it was too early to provide a definitive timeline.
