‘Gave Them a Spark’
ITB Postgame Live: Offense Clicks in Giant Victory
Behind two 100-yard rushers, the Philadelphia Eagles ran past the New York Giants in a blowout victory.
On the Week 8 edition of “Inside The Birds Postgame Live,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher gave their instant reaction to the 38-20 win.

GETTY IMAGES: Eagles RB Tank Bigsby rushed for 100+ yards, one of two backs to do so in the 38-20 victory over the New York Giants.
Saquon Barkley
Adam Caplan: “The run blocking was phenomenal. Barkley squeezed the hole, he was patient, he saw it and he took off. When he had the first big run, the 65-yarder, it wasn’t like which we have seen earlier where he has a nice run and then they shut him down, they didn’t shut him down and then (Tank) Bigsby took over. It was just phenomenal, you have to feel great about the run blocking.”
Geoff Mosher: “The second play of the game, Barkley rips off a 65-yard touchdown run, they were under center…that was just a really well-blocked play.”
Tank Bigsby
Caplan: “You saw this show up in the game: He has what’s called secondary vision…His change of direction is ridiculous. He’s a cutting, slashing type of back.”
Mosher: “Bigsby gave them a spark. He has a good running style about him, he definitely gives them some juice. This could be their one-two thunder/thunder combination going forward.”
Dallas Goedert
Mosher: “It’s somewhat ironic that in an offseason in which he is on the trade block and then winds up agreeing to come back on a pay cut that he would have seven touchdowns through the first eight games.”
Nakobe Dean
Caplan: “He played a lot, looks healthy…He technically started in a 4-3. They started three linebackers. This is out of necessity based on the injuries that they have and the lack of depth. I’m interested to see as he gets everything back how they use him. The guy was an outstanding blitzer in college.”
