Mock Season

“Inside The Birds” podcast hosts Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan were joined by Andrew DiCecco for part one of the sixth annual Inside The Birds Mock Draft, complete with the first 16 selections and background on the prospects.

1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward, QB, Miami

 Andrew DiCecco: “That’s going to be a good player for their offense and I think they need to start building around him.”

2. Cleveland Browns: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado

Adam Caplan: “I was at the combine when Andrew Berry the general manager, who is typically tight-lipped said they see him more as a receiver than a corner

3. New York Giants: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

Geoff Mosher: “I feel like they want the stud and they are going to take the stud.”

4. New England Patriots: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State

 DiCecco: “If you have a chance to add one of the best players in the draft, you have to do it.”

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham, DT, Michigan

Caplan: “The best player on the board here…he is more of a three technique.”

6. Las Vegas Raiders: Will Campbell, OT, LSU

Mosher: “I’m going to go on what John Spytek’s pedigree is and go offensive line here.”

7. New York Jets: Armand Membou, OT, Missouri

DiCecco: “I’m going Armand Membou to be their right tackle to pair up with Olu Fashanu.”

8. Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

Caplan: “I like Walker’s positional versatility.”

9. New Orleans Saints: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado

Mosher: “[Kellen Moore] needs a quarterback. We’ll see how it works out for them.”

10. Chicago Bears: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia

DiCecco: “I like his positional versatility and size.”

11. San Francisco 49ers: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

Caplan: “He’s by far their biggest need, he’s a stud player.”

12. Dallas Cowboys: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Mosher: “They need a playmaker, really need someone who can line up at the ‘X’ because CeeDee Lamb is more of a ‘Z’ and a guy that they move around.”

13. Miami Dolphins: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan

 DiCecco: “I like his game quite a bit, that’s going to be a good fit for their defense.”

14. Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Caplan: “They have to get it right. Take the best player available at a position of need for the future.”

15. Atlanta Falcons: Mike Green, EDGE, Marshall

Mosher: “When you compare all of the pass rushers, he’s probably the most technically sound, most savvy, ready to go in.”

16. Arizona Cardinals: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

 DiCecco: “They need sustained offensive line play and that gives them a high-level player.”

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama

DiCecco: “They need help there in the worst way. Really good length at 6’2, 235 and he’s really good at getting after the quarterback and getting downhill as well.”

20. Denver Broncos: Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina

Caplan: “If he’s still on the board and he doesn’t go 20, I’d be stunned. He has juice.”

21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon

Mosher: “He’s a pretty big guy, they have always done well with guys on the west coast.”

22. Los Angeles Chargers: Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan

DiCecco: “He’s my pick all day long. Plus size receiver, he moves like a receiver, he can get vertical, is a three-level threat.”

23. Green Bay Packers: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

Caplan: “We’re going Jahdae Barron for a team that could use corners.”

24. Minnesota Vikings: Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina

Mosher: “He will be unleashed on the quarterback at times because he’s that athletic.”

25. Houston Texas: Matthew Golden, WR, Texas

DiCecco: “Gives them that Will Fuller type of speed from yesteryear.”

26. Los Angeles Rams: Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M

Caplan: “I like his upside, it’s all about depth and rotation.”

27. Baltimore Ravens: Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State

Mosher: “They specialize in taking guys with guard-tackle versatility.”

28. Detroit Lions: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College

DiCecco: “6’2, 250, doesn’t necessarily have the prototypical size but he has long arms, very productive player, 16.5 sacks last year.”

29. Washington Commanders: Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama

Caplan: “He is a very mature player, will be a day one starter.”

30. Buffalo Bills: Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss

Mosher: “They need secondary help and Amos is one of the more underdiscussed players.”

31. Kansas City Chiefs: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State

  DiCecco: “You can make an argument that he would be the top offensive tackle in this class if it had not been for the injury.”

32. Philadelphia Eagles: Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M

Caplan: “Best player available. Bryce Huff has not worked out.”
